Arlington's icon is Dallin's Menotomy Indian Hunter, sculpted in 1911. It is the centerpiece of Robbins Park, between the Robbins Library and Town Hall. It has recently been restored, as a part of the ongoing renovation of the entire park.
Arlington's original name, Menotomy, means place of swift, running water. Appropriately, the setting for the statue includes a rippling waterfall and lagoon. |
