2009 CYRUS E. DALLIN ART MUSEUM LECTURE SERIES
Experts in their field will discuss topics related to Cyrus E. Dallin’s life and work

Upcoming Events:

September 10, Robert Shure, president and founder of SkyLight Studios in Woburn, will give a lecture entitled "The Tale of Two Studios and Cyrus E. Dallin." Mr. Shure's lecture will touch upon Dallin's relationship with the Caproni Brothers Foundry of Boston Massachusetss, who manufacturered plaster and bronze reproductions of Dallin's statues. This lecture will take place in the Cutter Gallery, in the rear entrance of Jefferson Cutter House, at 7 PM. The Jefferson Cutter House, located at One Whittemore Park at Arlington Center, also houses the Cyrus E. Dallin Art Museum.

October 8, Doreen Stevens, Director of the Arlington Historical Society, will give a lecture on “Vittoria Dallin and the Pageants.” Cyrus Dallin and his wife Vittoria were active members of the Arlington community; the elaborate pageants that Vittoria organized are indicative of her cultural and community spirit.
